Iacer truncatum "pacific sunset" is a small/medium size fast growing plant. in a young age it initially has a pyramidal hair, while in an older age, becoming wider, the foliage expands becoming almost round. the leaves have a glossy green color that changes in autumn, becoming intense red-orange and dark red for several weeks. Iacer truncatum grows clearly faster and higher than a acer palmatum, but it does not grow as high as a acer rubrum. an important advantage of this species is its tolerance to the ground, except for very acidic and very calcareous soils. It also tolerates a lot of moisture and is also quite resistant to drought. thanks to its wide shape of the foliage, it is often used in parks and as a boulevard tree for larger profiles.
