the taxus media hilliii, commonly called rate hillii, is a hybrid variant from the intersection between thetaxus kissed and thetaxus cuspidata. has slow growth with compact and columnar bearing. the aghiform leaves are of soft green color in summer, which fades of golden yellow in autumn and winter. the rate hillii does not produce berries and is used to make evergreen hedges. prefers an exposure in full sun or in half shade, with limestone soil. despite this it fits well in the shade and endures almost all types of soil. It is very cold resistant and reacts well to pruning. does not require much maintenance.
